In full respect of values ​​related to its history and its own vocation as a cooperative (intergenerational, mutuality, solidarity, economic democracy), Terremerse is particularly careful to  people,  environment and work.

People (partners, employees, consumers ) will always be the ones to animate the mutuality that is the heart of the cooperative. The health protection and safety of the people are the bases of Terremerse’s policy. The social cohesion of workers and associated companies is recognized as a crucial factor of competitiveness: the Cooperative invests in it, promoting training, continuous updating, being involved in decisions, aiming at enhancing the value of labor and contribution of business partners.

The environment. The sustainable development is an extra value for the future. Terremerse stimulate productions that minimize environmental impact through less use of pesticides (integrated production, organic), oftimization of water resources, reduction of packaging, use of energy from renewable resources.

The work (as a principle of the Italian Constitution). In accordance with the regulations, but also with  its own sensitivity,   Terremerse uses equipments that meet high standards of quality and safety, managed by properly trained and prepared staff, thus implementing a policy of prevention to avoid the occurrence of pollution and workplace accidents.

Founding principles

THE INTERCOOPERATIVE SOLIDARITY

Sharing the same principles, the cooperatives implement forms of solidarity both in the development and in consolidation in the market. This allows one to be a part of the movement trying to affirm the values ​​of efficiency and solidarity.

INTERGENERATIONAL SOLIDARITY

The cooperative aims to preserve itself and grow over the  time for future generations, fueling a virtuous cycle of investments and innovation and the transfer of skills and assets between senior  and junior partners.

THE OPEN DOORS

The cooperative is an open structure. Anyone who shares its principles can be part of it, and the cooperative can accept new members as long as it can satisfy the need for employment or service.

NON SPECULATIVE NATURE

At the moment of dissolution, the shareholders can not divide the assets of the cooperative, nor can they sell the company as a whole, but the residual assets of liquidation must be donated to the funds that pursue the development of the cooperation. The tax on profits is reduced, provided they are reinvested in the development of the cooperative.

THE EXTERNAL MUTUALITY

Promote the creation of new cooperatives and contribute to the development and improvement of the cooperative system and thus the society in which they operate: to achieve this, for example, all cooperatives devote 3% of their profits to a fund aimed at promoting cooperation and development.

THE INTERNAL MUTUALITY

The aim is to achieve the exchange with partners, to find them  better market conditions than those they could find by themselves, as well as to protect the quality of their jobs.

ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE

Whatever the proportion of equity owned, the value of a shareholder at the meeting is always equal to one.
